The incident unfolded on Thursday, at the Lipson Co-operative Academy in Plymouth.
Teachers and students at the school were dressed in pink as part of the Breast Cancer Now Wear it Pink campaign, aiming to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research.
However, 13-year-old Tyler Pickering, who was sent home from school, just revealed too much skin and his outfit was deemed inappropriate by the committee.
Despite the incident, the principal said he was proud of his students and the school raised 1,000 pounds ($1,534) for breast cancer research.
