21-year-old who is on-loan at Reading and his Brazilian teammate Andrey Da Silva Ventura have been accused of forcing a 21-year-old woman to ‘unwanted sexual contact’ in Toronto.
It
is alleged that Piazon and his friend Ventura, met the girl and her
friend at a nightclub in Toronto on Saturday, July 25 and followed her
home.
It was at the home of the 21-year-old woman that the players allegedly assaulted the woman when she was sleeping.
The Brazilian players were in Canada in July with their Brazilian teammates to play at the Pan Am games.
“The
two men accompanied the women to one woman’s residence. Once inside the
residence, the two men sexually assaulted one of the women,” the Toronto Police said in a statement on Thursday, October 29.
“The
two men have now been identified, and arrest warrants have been issued
for Lucas Domingues Piazon, 21, and Andrey Da Silva Ventura, 22. They
are both wanted for sexual assault.”
Sexual
assault is defined as any form of unwanted sexual contact, which
includes, but is not limited to, kissing, grabbing, oral sex and
penetration.
The police have issued a nation-wide arrest for the two players but Chelsea have refused to comment on the issue.
Chelsea signed Piazon in 2011 from Sao Paulo for an initial fee of £5million.
He has made one league appearance for the Blues in their 8-0 win over Aston Villa in 2012.
He has gone on loan at Malaga, Vitesse Arnhem and Frankfurt and is currently at English Championship side Reading where he has scored two goals in seven appearances this season.
